In December 2024, Johnson Health Tech Co., Ltd. (Stock Code: 1736), a global leader in fitness equipment, set a new revenue record. Monthly revenue surged to TWD 7.6 billion (approximately USD 240 million), representing a 46% month-on-month growth and a 37% year-on-year increase.
For the entire year of 2024, the company's revenue exceeded TWD 47.8 billion (approximately USD 1.5 billion), a 25% increase compared to the previous year, marking the seventh consecutive year of record-breaking performance.
Strong Performance in the Home Market
December is traditionally the peak sales season for the fitness equipment industry, driven by holiday shopping around Black Friday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Johnson Health Tech reported nearly a 30% year-on-year growth in sales from its retail channels during December, complemented by the strong contribution of its newly acquired brand, BowFlex, which helped home fitness market revenue soar by 150% year-on-year.
BowFlex contributed approximately TWD 620 million (around USD 20 million) in monthly revenue and USD 72 million (about TWD 2.3 billion) in annual revenue, slightly exceeding the company’s internal expectations.
Steady Growth in the Commercial Market
In the commercial fitness sector, Johnson Health Tech benefited from the expansion plans of major chain gyms in the United States, Europe, and Latin America, as well as the continued development of new customers. December revenue in the commercial market grew by 28% year-on-year, with both new and existing customers contributing to the company’s overall record-breaking revenue.
Outlook for 2025: Diversified Growth Across Multiple Brands and Markets
Looking ahead to 2025, Johnson Health Tech plans to drive growth through diversification. In the commercial market, the launch of its high-end Matrix-Onyx product line will target premium channels, while the introduction of the entry-level Vision commercial series is expected to further increase market penetration.
In the home fitness market, the company’s multi-brand strategy, including BowFlex, Horizon, and Schwinn, will enhance brand visibility and expand revenue through major retail chains, proprietary retail networks, and e-commerce platforms.
Optimized Production Capacity with Significant Growth Potential
Johnson Health Tech continues to optimize its production layout. Construction of its second factory in Vietnam is progressing rapidly and is expected to partially begin production this year to meet growing demand.
From the first quarter of 2025, the company anticipates maintaining double-digit year-on-year growth, leveraging economies of scale to boost production efficiency and profit margins. With new product launches, customer acquisition, and expanded market coverage, Johnson Health Tech is poised to achieve further operational success in 2025.
