The app features over 130 trainer-guided courses, covering a wide range of activities from HIIT to yoga and pilates, available in both free and premium versions.
2. 2024 AusFitness Expo Opened in Sydney
The AusFitness Expo, Australia’s largest fitness exhibition, opened in Sydney from October 11-13, 2024, at the International Convention Centre (ICC). The event gathered the latest products and technologies in the fitness industry, attracting thousands of professionals from around the world. Featuring over 200 exhibitors, the expo showcased a wide range of fitness equipment, supplements, wearables, and commercial fitness services. 3. Precor Becomes Global Strategic Distributor for Stages Cycling
Precor recently entered into a global strategic distribution agreement with Spia Cycling Inc., aimed at expanding Stages Cycling's product reach into new markets. Spia Cycling, a subsidiary of Giant Group, acquired Stages Cycling for $20 million after the company faced financial challenges earlier this year. Under the new partnership, Precor will distribute Stages Cycling’s commercial products in North America, with plans to expand into international markets. Stages Cycling is known for its indoor cycling products, including power meters and cycling computers, and is widely used by major fitness brands such as Equinox and David Lloyd.
4. Pakistan’s Sports Goods Exports Increased by 4.27%
In the first two months of the 2024-25 fiscal year, Pakistan's sports goods exports grew by 4.27%, reaching $61.98 million, largely driven by strong football exports. According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), football exports increased by 8.35%, reinforcing Pakistan’s position as a global leader in football manufacturing. However, other sports goods categories, such as gloves, saw a decline in export performance. The sports goods industry, despite facing challenges, showed resilience, with football continuing to drive growth in Pakistan's export market.
5. European Health & Fitness Association Congress to Be Held in Barcelona
The 19th European Health & Fitness Association (EHFA) Congress is set to take place from October 21-23, 2024, at the Hilton Diagonal Mar in Barcelona. As one of the most significant events in Europe’s fitness industry, the congress will bring together professionals from over 20 countries, including 150 local participants from Spain. Industry leaders will share insights on the fitness industry's challenges and growth opportunities, with special emphasis on the Spanish and European markets. Notable sessions include a keynote from the new Catalan Government Sports Advisor, Bernardo Álvarez Merino, who will offer perspectives on regional sports development.
6. Precor Partners with Dimension 6 Fitness to Distribute Nike Strength Training Equipment
Precor announced an exclusive partnership with Dimension 6 Fitness, becoming the exclusive North American distributor of Nike-branded strength training equipment. This collaboration brings Nike’s range of strength products, such as dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, and other training accessories, to commercial fitness centers. Precor’s CEO, Dustin Grosz, emphasized that this partnership aligns with Precor’s mission to provide high-quality fitness solutions. The partnership combines Nike's expertise in athlete-focused design with Precor’s extensive commercial distribution network.
